Fire up the fusion torus: klystron KyU is a gate, not a throttle — every tick it must reach the recipe's ignition temperature while the ring sits at or under 123 °F — and every plasma receiver you bolt on dilutes all the others. This is the closed form of TileEntityFusionTorus, TileEntityFusionKlystron, ModuleMachineFusion and FusionRecipes: ignition, burn factor, plasma, steam, tritium, and the coupler loop that can make the whole rig run without klystrons once lit.

Klystrons pump KyU into the torus over the klystron network; the torus sprays plasma down the plasma network to its receivers. Couplers are receivers that pour their plasma straight back into the klystron net. Collectors hang on the plasma net, take no power, and speed up item production.
Each klystron drains 2,500 mB/t of air at full power from its 150,000 mB compair tank; below half the tank (75,000 mB) output scales down, so the steady state is full speed at ≥2,500 mB/t per klystron. EU cost is target × factor per klystron per tick — and the quirk: exports below target/50 are zeroed, EU spent for nothing.
The 10M HE battery runs the solenoids at 25,000 HE/t while burning, so ≥25,000 HE/t keeps the torus at full speed (stored HE settles at 200× feed). The ring heats +2.5 °F/t and only cools above the 123 °F gate: 0.5 °F per mB of coolant, so 5 mB/t is the minimum for continuous burn. Fuel at 100% parks each 4,000 mB input tank at its half-full full-speed point.
Every receiver on the plasma net gets ceil(plasma × intensity); with 2/3/4 receivers the intensity is 0.625/0.5/0.4375, so four receivers pull 1.75× the plasma in total. Couplers count as receivers and recirculate their plasma 1:1 as KyU. Collectors add 0.5× item speed each, bonus pool capped at 1.5. A plasma forge on the net counts as a receiver too and dilutes the rest.
Steady state of the mod's per-tick loop: klystronEnergy is summed fresh every tick, so the gate is checked every tick. Water, perfluoromethyl coolant and klystron EU are assumed piped in.
The torus reads its klystron energy and zeroes it every single tick, so the recipe's ignition temperature must be met every tick — 4 klystrons at 250k pass the 1M gate of balefire, one klystron fed 1M in bursts does not. D-D fuses at 750k KyU; stellar flux asks 10M, and 8 klystrons top out at 8M — stellar flux and DHC never light on original NTM without creative klystrons.

The output intensity per receiver is 1.0 / 0.625 / 0.5 / 0.4375 for 1/2/3/4 receivers, not a 1/n split. Add the fourth receiver and total plasma drawn goes up, not down — the torus happily over-delivers, so split your plasma across boiler, MHDT, breeder and a coupler loop.

Turbine output is floor(plasma × 1.35), halved by integer division when the plasma it received is below 5,000,000 TU. D-T's 3.75M TU can't clear it alone: the pre-cliff figure 5,062,500 EU/t halves to 2,531,250. Run the turbine alone on a high-yield recipe, or feed it 5M+ TU, to keep the full rate. Minimum plasma is a JSON key (L:minimumPlasma in the mhd-turbine config) — edit it in Custom below.

Steam cycles are the plasma it received divided by water's 200 TU heat requirement, capped by water feed and the 32,000 mB steam tank. D-T at full power feeds one boiler 3.75M TU → 18,750 mB/t of superhot steam; stellar flux at 50M TU is 250,000 mB/t — 7.8M mB/s, pipes weep.

A klystron runs at min(power, air) scaled factors — full speed at ≥50% charge and ≥75,000 mB of the 150,000 mB air tank, i.e. ≥2,500 mB/t feed — then spends target × factor EU and 2,500 × factor mB/t of air. If the export lands under target/50 (factor below 2%), it is clamped to zero: the EU is still gone. Starving a 100k klystron of air burns 100k EU/t (the cost formula) for 0 KyU.

Breeders get the torus's neutron flux — not intensity-diluted like plasma — and progress += flux per tick against a fixed 10,000 capacity. D-D at 50 n/t breeds one item every 200 t (10 s): a lithium block fills its tank with 10,000 mB of tritium, an ingot with 1,000, a dust with 100. Chain breeders off a D-T or chlorine torus and tritium stops being the bottleneck.
